The Synergy of Music Theatre (SMouTh) invites you to the final performance of the international artistic exchange programme HETEROTOPIA – Youth Exchange 2025, on Wednesday 18 June at 8.00pm at SYNERGEIO – Cultural Centre, 22 str. Economou Ex Economou in Larissa.
Twenty-five young artists aged 18-30 years old from Germany (Cologne), Lithuania (Kaunas), Cyprus (Nicosia) and Greece (Larissa) gathered for eight days in Larissa in the context of Young Artists Exchange of ROOTS & ROUTES International network programme, to work intensively and exchange creative tools, ideas and experiences around the concept of HETEROTOPIA. The result of this multicultural coexistence and collaboration will be presented to the public in a unique performance that captures the artistic polyphony and the dynamics of collective creation.
The central thematic axis of the programme, the notion of heterotopia – the “other place” – as described by Michel Foucault and other philosophers and social scientists, set the context for multiple narratives, otherness and possible subversions of the dominant reality in the city and the countryside.
Participants, organized in small creative groups, approach the theme through personal and collective research, creative dialogue and artistic experimentation. The final project combines performing and audiovisual arts to form a rich mosaic of experiences, narratives and reflection.
Viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy once again how art, in the context of the international artistic exchange programme, acts as a bridge of communication, a tool of expression and a field of creative encounter.
