17 Jun Until Tomorrow Comes

SMouTh presents the dance performance Until Tomorrow Comes
on Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19, at 21:15, at SYNERGEIO Culture Space (22 Oikonomon ex Oikonomon St., Larissa).
The performance is inspired by poems by the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish, as well as other texts, poems, music, and songs about war, peace, forced displacement, and exile.
In today’s dystopian and violent reality, what can we do until—and in order for—a better tomorrow to arrive? What is the role of art, and what responsibility do artists bear within such a context? How do we move through destruction? How and why can we still dance, here, for every elsewhere? What does it mean to be a spectator, and where do we meet one another?
These and other urgent and persistent questions seek answers through dance, spoken word, and music in a performance created by SMouTh’s adolescent and adult ballet and contemporary dance groups.
The performance has been curated collaboratively by Dimitra Zacharouli, Athina Manoli, Despoina Bounitsi, and Vana Sleiman.
Admission is free, but seat reservation is required.
