Georges Bizet’s famous opera ”Carmen” became the triggering event for the most exuberant and ambitious production in the Greek region, a collaboration of SMouTh with the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa and the Association of Friends of the Larissa Municipal Youth Symphony Orchestra. The production was awarded in 2010 by the Hellenic Association of Theatre and Performing Arts Critics (HEL.AS.Th.PA.Cr) and became a major point of reference in the cultural events of the city.
Carmen in numbers: 3 performances, 6 collaborating entities, 10 soloists, 70 adults and 20 small choristers, 50 musicians, 15 actors and dancers, 30 artistic, technical and organisational contributors, 3.000 tickets – already sold out two weeks before the premiere.
