LOOP is an original conception that uses observation as a basic tool to approach the concept of patterns and seeks the meaning behind people’s power to love. Two girls observe themselves and the people around. Days follow the nights and nights follow the days forming cycles, repetitions and routines. What patterns people are getting used to? Do they want them or can they accept them? How do they manage to be happy within their habitual life? Loop is a sequence of speech, movement, music and visuals that serve as a window to a clear horizon redefining the way we approach everyday life.
The texts of the performance have been developed by the performers’ research and creative process under the director’s guidance.

DIRECTOR’S NOTE
LOOP was born out of necessity in the grim reality of 2023-24 where natural disasters, criminal human actions, human exploitation and war have become dangerous patterns in an ever-changing world. Dangerous because we may get used to them and stop reacting or dreaming.
“Where ever I go it’s cloudy…”
The sensation of a cloud moving along with us while hiding the sun led us to carry it on our shoulders, to walk with it and make peace with its rain. It helped us observe once again people around us seeking beauty and meaning in our relationships. We took Antigone’s line “I was born to love…” to discover the patterns that connect our existence with love and make us move forward.
