MPArt Τ10 – open call for artists to participate in the residency with Eleni Efthymiou

NEW, LITTLE PEOPLE

What parenthood means today? What challenges does it create? Who are the new parents today? How are they different from earlier generations? How does our social reality affect new parents’ choices?

… and …

Who are these little people who will populate this world? Will they mange to make it better? What would happen if all those tiny new people  had the oppotunity to teach us something and we could learn something from them?

The workshop NEW, LITTLE PEOPLE  will take place from 18-23/09 and will lead to a full original multimedia performance on the 24th of September  at Mill of Performing Arts. Director Eleni Efthimiou and SMouTh’s organising team invite artists (actors, singers, musicians, cinematographers, poets, visual artists, writers, dancers etc) who recently became parents, or are going to be parents, or are just inspired by  parenthood and the questions around the life of babies, to submitt their interest and availability in order to take part in this original workshopand the creation of a special theatric experience, alone or joined by their little ones.

To apply for participation please send to info@smouth.com a CV and a note of interest up to 150 words, in which please mention why you are intersted in this workshop, by Friday. August 25th.

The selection of participants will be done under the criterion of space capacity, variety of artistic diciplines, direct or indirect connection to the topic and priority order.

*For participants outside Larissa, accommmodation expenses can be covered. Please include this info in your email. 

Mill of Performing Arts festival is co-organised by SMouTH and the Mayoralty of Culture and Science of the Municipality of Larissa and is supported by the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports.
