01 Aug A new Body Shining Art Campaign video is out!
Art of Being, the video documentation of the art campaign run by our N. Irish partner, University of the Atypical, has been published and we share it with pride!
This video summarizes the artistic campaign on body acceptance created by University of Atypical (Belfast) and the young participants of the city. Atypical is an organisation active in the fields of Art & Inclusion run by and with disabled, D/deaf and neurodiverse artists.
Please watch and share the video here:
Each partner organisation (ANIMUS, ATYPICAL, ELAN, MOH and SMOUTH) developed and implemented an artistic campaign with young people to raise awareness about body shaming in their own city. Creating an art campaign on the topic of body shaming can be a powerful way to raise awareness, challenge societal norms, and promote body acceptance. We will soon publish a toolkit on this topic, in order to equip youth workers with the skills necessary to prepare and create artistic campaigns with young people to raise awareness about the body-acceptance in art. The toolkit will contain a set of method sheets that contribute to a process of preparation and campaign creation with the young participants. The toolkit will be available on Body Shining website: https://www.bodyshining.eu/resources/
