Empowering young artists as leaders in youth work and social change
The ROOTS & ROUTES Peer Coach Academy 2.0 (RRPCA 2.0) is a project designed to equip the next generation of young artists with the skills and confidence to lead, inspire, and contribute to positive change in their communities.
Building on previous initiatives, RRPCA 2.0 shifts its focus from individual entrepreneurship to a more collective approach. The program aims to train young artists to become community activists and social entrepreneurs, using their artistic skills as a powerful tool for social cohesion.
This new academy provides a comprehensive training experience: Young artists will participate in a modular programme that includes local and international seminars, digital workshops, and practical fieldwork. The new curriculum covers a wide range of essential skills, from artistic education and pedagogy to community involvement and project management.
The RRPCA 2.0 project is a collaboration with six partner organisations from the R&R network. Together, the consortium is committed to building a new generation of artistic peer coaches who are not only skilled in their craft but also catalysts for positive change.
This initiative will train young artists and produce an updated curriculum that will be shared with the broader youth work community, ensuring its impact continues for years to come.
The RRPCA 2.0 is led by ROOTS & ROUTES Cologne e.V. in partnership with Synergy of Music Theatre (Larissa, Greece), Streetdance Center (Salzburg, Austria), Kaunas Cultural Centre of Various Nations (Kaunasm Lithuania), Subjective Values Foundation (Budapest, Hungary), Empreinte (Lille, France), and Centro di Creazione e Cultura (Florence, Italy).
The project is funded by the Erasmus+ program and has a duration of three years (September 2024 – August 2027)
